<!-- LASTMOD COMES FROM GIT, NOT FROM THE CLOCK AND NOT FROM UPLOAD TIME.
The fifteen hand-written entries below had drifted to 2026-07-24 (two to
-07-28) while every one of those pages had taken substantive content commits
on 2026-08-02/03 — new FAQ answers, corrected ISO sizes on /download, a
changed Braille claim on /accessibility — so the sitemap was telling
crawlers that eleven days of real edits had not happened. Corrected to
2026-08-03, which is what `git log -1` reports as the committer date (%cs)
on each of the fifteen files, and is the same value the generated guide
block above carries. (The flag cannot be written out here: a double hyphen
is illegal inside an XML comment and makes this file unparseable, which is
worse than a stale date because a malformed sitemap is ignored entirely.)

Do NOT set these from the HTTP Last-Modified header or from file mtime.
Last-Modified is deploy time, mtime is checkout time; publish-guide.py's
_lastmod() docstring records why (a fresh clone would tell a crawler every
page changed today). Using deploy time here would also have made these
entries claim to be newer than the guide entries generated from the very
     same commit.

STILL A MANUAL STEP, AND THAT IS THE OPEN RISK. The guide block below is
regenerated by tools/publish-guide.py; these fifteen are not, and they have
now drifted twice. The durable fix is to generate them from git the same
way — this comment is not a mechanism, which is the lesson recorded in the
comment further down about the four translations that shipped unlisted. -->

<!-- The guide is generated into site/guide/ by tools/publish-guide.py, which is
why it was the one page set missing here: it is not hand-written next to the
others. It is still the highest-intent content on the site — 21 sections
answering "will my printer work" for someone deciding whether to leave
       Windows.

DO NOT EDIT BETWEEN THE MARKERS. This block is regenerated by
publish-guide.py from its PAGES dict, and hand edits are overwritten on the
next run. It used to be hand-written, under a comment asking whoever adds a
language to add its URL here in the same commit — and that instruction
survived exactly one language. Four translations shipped and this file still
       listed two, so /guide/es, /fr, /it and /pt-br existed, cross-linked and
carried hreflang, and nothing told a crawler they were there. To add a
language, add it to PAGES and run the script. -->
