Release status.
Dagric OS downloads and new Pro sales are temporarily paused while the remaining source-completeness, human-review, trademark, rights, physical-validation, and release-provenance gates are completed and independently reviewed.
Not sure which one? Free is the whole private, hardened desktop — zero telemetry, snapshot rollback on the default btrfs install, updates that install themselves and never reboot you, Writer/Calc/Impress/Draw, and one-click Steam, Heroic, Bottles and Ollama. Pro is that same system with the creative studio, the tuned Wine and gaming runtime, the developer stack and all seven layouts configured together. These tools can replace paid tools for some workflows; compatibility varies.
While new downloads and sales are paused, you can watch the desktop in use, learn the tools, and review the test record. Existing customers can request order help. Back up personal files before any installation or edition upgrade.
What installing looks like
The installer explains each stage before it starts. Nothing is written to your disk until the Summary step, where you confirm — you can back out of every screen before it.
System requirements
- Processor: any 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU (roughly 2012 or newer)
- Memory: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
- Storage: 25 GB free (Free) / 40 GB (Pro)
- Firmware: UEFI (Secure Boot supported) or legacy BIOS
- Aimed squarely at the machines Windows 10's end-of-support left behind — 2012-era hardware included. Check This PC on the live USB tells you how your own machine fares before you install.
Not sure it will work on your PC? Find out before you install.
A spec list can't tell you whether your Wi-Fi card has a driver. So every Dagric USB stick puts Check This PC on the live desktop, right beside the installer — click that one first. It reports, in plain language, on your Wi-Fi and network, graphics and screen, Secure Boot, sound, camera and printer, the battery if it's a laptop, and whether your drives have room (and whether BitLocker is holding them shut). Nothing is installed and nothing is changed while you look: Windows is exactly where you left it when you pull the stick out.
If it finds nothing, it says so — you can install with confidence. If it flags something, it tells you what to do about it, and you've spent ten minutes instead of an evening.
Verify your download
Don't skip this for installs that matter — it proves your ISO is byte-for-byte what we built.
gpg --import dagric-signing-key.asc
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.sig SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Files: SHA256SUMS · SHA256SUMS.sig ·
signing key. On Windows:
Get-FileHash .\dagric-os-1.0-amd64.iso in PowerShell, then compare it against
the matching line in SHA256SUMS.
